Update on “Daddy School.” The kids, so far, are diggin’ it. I think J was a little skeptical at first, but after the first day, he seems to be coming around. First day was working on writing skills. Now, for all you homeschoolers out there, let me be frank (Frank?). This is purely an experiment, more like “tinkering” w\/ homeschooling. I know there’s curriculum out there, and a certain eb-n-flo about it. My main goal is to prevent the “I’m boooooooooooooored” from creeping in. I’ve already stated (mostly to J) that under no certain terms am I to hear that dreaded summer time curse, even if the moment lends itself.
\n BUT, having said that, if you happen to have some ideas on curriculum, sites to check out, projects, etc. let me know- I’m totally “shootin’ from the seat of my pants” at the moment! Currently we are looking to do some gardening, maybe check out some history lessons re: WWII, the Vietnam War (Grandpa’s & Great Grandpa’s from both sides) & the origins of the video game, letter writing, a video play, and HTML for J.
